Human Factors Engineer Provide program and research support to Social Science initiatives that address national security challenges, including organizational use of technologies to meet those challenges.

· Minimum education: BS or equivalent and 1 year experience or MS or equivalent.
· Preferred education: Masters degree or higher in a social science discipline (e.g., anthropology, sociology, sociolinguistics, medical anthropology, cultural communication studies, cultural geography, science and technology studies).
· Minimum of five years of experience in social science program support or research in the Intelligence Community and/or other government organizations that address national security.
· Work experience in either (a) organizations involving organizational analyses, work design and business process analyses, market analyses, labor-management relations, safety and reliability analyses, operations research, or change and transformation; or (b) qualitative field research in diverse socio-cultural environments.
· Experience with cultural analysis, ethnography, semiotics, and other qualitative methods and areas of inquiry.
· Experience with complex information systems and information sharing issues a plus.
· Experience analyzing and measuring the beliefs, values, attitudes, behavior, artifacts, processes, and systems of cultures, social groups, and organizations.
· Demonstrated theoretical and practical knowledge of key areas of qualitative and quantitative social science research.
· Experience designing, developing, and managing projects or work programs in direct support of government organizations.
· Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to deal with ambiguous situations on a consistent basis.
· Advanced writing, verbal, and presentation skills for addressing audiences of specialists and non-specialists.
