HP UNIX System Administrator
As a recognized leader in the staffing industry, Kelly Engineering is in search of an experienced and highly motivated individual as a HP UNIX System Administrator for a major defense industry supplier. Design, engineer, configure and maintain enterprise system management tools in support of large world-wide application. Evaluate, test, recommend, and implement system management software. Address monitoring related issues and implement enhancements that will improve reliability, maintainability, and performance of system infrastructure. Create and update system monitoring documentation as required. Requires 6 years experience in HP Network Node Manager, HP Operations Center, and UNIX (Solaris) as well as experience with TCP/IP networking skills. Experience with DNS (BIND), LDAP, SMTP, NTP, Linux (RedHat), SNMP/ Enterprise Management (OpenView, Sun Management Center, NetTracker), and Shell scripting is desirable. Must have BS degree in MIS, or equivalent experience. Must also be able to pass SSBI clearance. Occasional off-hours support may be required. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position located in Fairfax, VA. US Citizenship is required.
