Global Sales Leader - Software
Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: SalesResponsibilities: *Commercial leadership for our Software Business to achieve profitable growth with accountability for achieving orders, convertible orders, sales and CM operating plan.
In cooperation with P&L leader, Product Line Leaders and regional sales teams, develop global sales strategies for all software solutions and drive tactical plans in support of business targets.
Provide leadership, coaching and development for matrixed sales team including both direct and indirect channels (reps, distributors, VARs, solution partners).
Establish appropriate operating rhythm, metrics and communication plan to effectively lead in a globally dispersed matrixed organization.
Establish tools and processes to drive growth of our software solutions into new and existing markets through effective management of our variable channels and solution partners.
Drive strategic deal closure and provide global leadership to regional sales teams.
Establish and rationalize go-to-market channels/processes.
Identify market and technology trends, making proactive recommendations on appropriate NPI and other actions to maintain global competitiveness.
Support S1 (Growth Playbook) & SII Processes including development of annual Operating plans by region.
Liaison between Sales and P&L.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or technical related or business related field.
5+ years of experience in managing projects, programs or direct reports including operating plan responsibility.
5+ years Software sales experience in Energy or Telecommunications Industry.Eligibility Requirements:

You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 24 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating.Desired: * Knowledge of the T&D / communications industries.
Master Black Belt/Black Belt certification (GE Employees Only).General: *In-depth knowledge of Geospatial and Real Time Control Systems.
Understanding of customer financial drivers and needs.
Experience in driving improved performance based on market and trend analysis.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong communication skills and confidence with executive presentations; ability to communicate with colleagues and customers at all levels.
Proven ability to effectively lead within a matrix organization and demonstrated sales leadership skills.
Business acumen.
Global management experience with demonstrated track record of superior performance.
