Geospatial System Engineer

Provide system engineering and integration support to a variety of Government organizations with their respective information technology infrastructures, with a special emphasis on geospatial information systems (GIS) and related technologies. Address sponsor system engineering challenges that span from end-user functionality to enterprise architecture and integration. These activities include such topical areas as off the shelf applications, open standards, prototyping and spatial data management.Job Requirements


Education/Experience


· Minimum required: BS or equivalent and 1 year experience or MS or equivalent.


· Preferred: BS or MS in Geographic and Cartographic Science, Computer Science or other related engineering degrees that provide the combination of knowledge and experience with the development and deployment of geographic information systems (GIS).


Skills


· Familiarity with IT system architecture and design, with specific experience in the application of GIS to defense, intelligence, law enforcement and/or homeland security challenges.

· Demonstrated technical leadership in the solution of GIS problems in these domains.


· Knowledge of analytic tools and solutions used by analysts is desires along with good presentation skills
