Financial Systems Developer (VB.NET/Backend SQL)

Responsibilities: We are seeking a developer to provide complete governance of financial and back office applications from initial analysis through production support. This person will create or support applications and programs used to support accounting and finances. Application will include creation of GUI that allows user to extract or process data without the assistance of a technical resource including the running of reports, creation of Journal Entries, & importing data supplied by 3rd party vendors. Programs will be used to automate the processing of data with any user interaction. The Developer will be responsible for evaluation business rules, designing, and implementing a solution. Support Responsibilities include but are not limited to the support of the following departments: Revenue Assurance, Revenue Accounting, Tax, Inventory Accounting, and General Accounting. Data analysis is required; this person will analyze data currently housed in our production. Change Control Management is involved; the resource is responsible for enforcement of, adherence to and development of disciplined change control processes. Design Documentation is involved; this person will be responsible for documenting the design of all development including applications and programs in production that are currently not documented. Quality Assurance is involved; this person will create test unit test strategy for all development efforts.
