Experienced Software Engineer

Purpose: Our client is a leading developer and manufacturer of digital technology. They are helping Broadcasters and Network Operators to deliver advanced digital television services.

The ideal candidates MUST possess the following skills:

Recent 5 years Linux, embedded if possible, including familiarity with version 2.4 and up.

Real-time video or similar high data rate throughput systems.

Practical experience of formal debugging procedures and tools.

Technical Area Specialist architects and creates specifications for major software subsystems, or overall system.

Produce structured, documented and maintainable code.

Defining/Assisting in quality standards for software engineering.

Ability to provide maintenance support for existing software.

Ensure proper test, debug and verification of software prior to release

Implementation of disciplines, process & tools.

Contribute to, formal Design and Project Reviews.

Project accountability.

5 plus years commercial software development experience.

C/C++/Assembler.

Knowledge of Structured Design Methodologies.

Knowledge of Real Time Applications and Operating Systems

Configuration management in relation to software releases.

Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking.

Experience with Linux Kernell device driver (Low Level)
