EPIC Developer

Purpose: We have a large healthcare client in Norfolk looking for an EPIC Developer.

The successful candidate should have experience in the following:

- Hospital integration development
- strong HL7 messaging experience
- familiar with ADT, orders, results, and billing interfaces both from a development and implementation point of view
- UNIX command line experience
- Cache experience
- Epic Bridges

This position entails working on a eCare project. Our client is looking for an "All-around Integration Programmer." The candidate will be doing integration work for either 1) the engine side, 2) the EPIC side, or 3) the EMPI side (Enterprise Master Patient Index) with EPIC's product called Identity.

The ideal candidate must be flexible to fit into ALL of these categories.

SDLC--> Development 75%, Maintenance 25%

Technical skills essential for this assignment:
Must have Interface Development experience in a hospital environment (not necessarily Cloverleaf)

PLUSES:
1) candidate has worked on EPIC ("Identity", which is EPIC's EMPI product) or Interface Development on EPIC products.
2) EMPI experience
3) HL7 experience
4) very technical, great at programming

Non-technical skills essential for this assignment:
"Can-do" person; adaptable; flexible; good problem solver
