EDI Specialist

Our Information Technology team is currently seeking an EDI Specialist to manage the day to day production EDI activity and will oversee the creation of new maps for documents to be processed for various manufacturers and trading partners. This is a strategic role that will provide direction for EDI and incumbent systems activities associated with it.Responsibilities:EDI document processing and interfacing with the sales administration and other business units.Applying and testing maps and other software.Assess new capabilities and technical upgrades.Unix tasks for EDI related processes.Perform Analysis of Implementation Guides (IG.'s) and mapping.Establish and maintain system procedures to leverage the capabilities of the software and find alternatives when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field. Exceptional work experience may be substituted for education.Minimum three years of EDI experience with a mapping tool, preferably GIS and/or Gentran for UNIX.Experience with Sterling's VAN, FTP, AS2 and retailing highly desired.TracFone Wireless is located in Miami, Florida, a city filled with diverse cultures.
