EDI Programmer/Analyst---Philadelphia

The Judge Group is looking for an EDI Programmer/Analyst to work for a client in Downtown, Philadelphia.

This position is only open to US Citizens, Green Card Holders and EAD holders.

General Description:
Responsible for the development, maintenance and support for all Company's EDI functions including mapping, programming, analysis and the development of working relationships with internal/external trading partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

•Responsible for all EDI X12 transaction maps including the 270-71, 276-277, 278, 820, 834, 835 and 837
•Creates and maintains complex EDI maps and mapping specifications
•Documents and maintains all EDI process flows
•Responsible and accountable for the resolution of EDI technical issues
•Communicates with user groups within company to resolve procedural issues
•Interfaces with EDI vendors and external company trading partners
•Actively participate in projects involving EDI functions
•Effectively participate in concurrent business process and project development and implementations
•Must have the ability to analyze and develop functional requirements, create EDI mapping specifications, develop translation maps, unit test, QA/System test and create supporting documentation
•Perform analysis of processes, procedures and practices in the EDI area to identify and make recommendations for innovation and improvements
•Provide technical assistance to programming staff
•Must work and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical persons including external customers, internal application developers, operations personnel
•Create successful and productive relationships with interface partners/vendors,
•Coach and promote interface concepts and transfers of skills, and provide and develop ongoing training/education with emphasis on Interface building, Interface engine technology and EDI considerations.
•On-call support for EDI applications as needed
•Works directly with customers to identify opportunities for new or improved interfaces and solutions to data exchange
•Provide thorough reviews of data requirements, data integrity, efficiency, and accuracy
•Share knowledge learned with team members and be able to prepare thorough and complete documentation for all interfaces, including updates in documentation for any changes to existing interfaces
•Must maintain current professional knowledge by attending educational courses, reading, and through personal networks related to EDI information technology
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
•Bachelor's degree (BS) required in MIS or Computer Science or working equivalent in Information Technology.

Skills/Abilities:
•Minimum of two (2) year’s experience in supporting EDI processes required
•Demonstrated skill and knowledge working with EDI X12 formats required
•Has an excellent skill in performing EDI mapping. EDI Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
•EXTOL mapping experience preferred
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required
•Knowledge of HIPAA transaction requirements required
•Programming experience with Microsoft .net a plus (C++ preferred)
•Strong analytical, troubleshooting and interpersonal skills are essential
