EDI Analyst

Responsibilities:
Systems Administrator/Analyst of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. Administration of trade guide definitions, Trading Partner (TP) relationships and mailbox maintenance. Interacts with various customers, both internal and external to Honda, as well as affiliate sites, regarding technical EDI issues and/or concerns. Works with value added network provider to resolve concerns and/or questions related to communication, configuration and file exchange. Performs configuration, mapping and testing of EDI transactions. Works with Honda of America Mfg., Inc. (HAM) internal mailbox system (GXS) associates to resolve concerns and/or questions. Defines and maintains partner definitions with multiple supply chain systems. Provides phone and e-mail support of the EDI team helpdesk. Provides on-call support for multiple manufacturing shift operations at HAM and affiliate sites.Daily Tasks:
Confirms operation of all EDI transactions. Monitors and corrects system performance issues. Supports problem resolution of EDI related issues. Maintains TP relationships and configurations. Identifies opportunities for EDI system improvements.Experience:
Minimum of two years of EDI experience. Minimum of two years Unix commands and scripts.Knowledge:
Knowledge of HP/UX and AIX operating systems. Structured testing knowledge.Required Skills:

Experience or knowledge of Sterling Commerce – Gentran Software.
Two years experience with GXS (Global Exchange Services) Administration, including GXS Enterprise, Application Integrator and Workbench.
Ability to lead and manage projects.
Ability to work with suppliers in obtaining EDI mailbox/DUN’s information.
Ability to support EDI helpdesk.
Proficient with TP definition (Gentran Basic, EC Workbench & Application Integrator – Trade Guide).Degree:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Services or related degree, or equivalent experience.
