Documentation Specialist

Purpose: One of our clients in the Alpharetta area currently has a need for a Documentation Specialist. This is a 3 month contract with potential to go longer.

Responsibilities:

-Work with Business Analysts, developers, and system requirements documentation to design appropriate online and print end-user documentation deliverables.
-Work with subject matter experts to develop new documentation and update existing documentation for new processes, procedures, and enhancements.
-Produce deliverables in print, PDF, Webex (Distance Learning) platforms, as projects require.
-Develop estimates and work plans, attend project meetings, and report on status of projects.
-Maintain current access controls and distribution of confidential and proprietary user documentation for ChoicePoint.

Knowledge and Skills:

-BS/BA Technical Communication, English or related field, or equivalent experience
-2-3 years experience document design and developing instructions for a technical audience.
-MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Visio
-Knowledge of current PC technology.
-Excellent organizational skills.
-Strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn new technologies.
-Enjoyment of writing.
-Work effectively under a minimum of supervision.
-Exhibit self-motivation, persistence and problem-solving skills necessary to ensure high levels of quality and effectiveness.
