Purpose: Our client is seeking a Diacap person with experience writing SSAA's for a Major DOD integrator in Colorado Springs!

Job Description:
System Security Engineer for the Electronic Schedule Dissemination (ESD) version 3.0. This engineer will be responsible for implementing sound security engineering practices during the development of ESD 3.0 as part of the Air Force Satellite Control Network Contract (SCNC). Responsible for executing the security engineering goal and activities as directed by the DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP) and develop a plan for transitioning to the DIACAP. Apply current computer security and network technologies in evaluating the design, development, and integration of COTS HW/SW and the development of custom application SW.

Responsibilities include maintaining security milestones and ensuring security engineering requirements are instituted into software/hardware developmental activities. Present security activities and security posture at major program milestones. Maintain the System Security Authorization Agreement (SSAA) documentation to include appropriate security coordination with the User, Certifier, Program Manager and Designated Approving Authority. Develop and execute security test procedures to ensure that the system meets assigned requirements during Formal Qualification Test, Segment Verification Test, and Integrated System Test. Document all test results and perform initial and final risk assessment.

Perform both individual assignments and work as a member of project teams composed of other security analysts and engineers. Facilitate the ESD 3.0 Security TIM involving multiple government departments and contract personnel, overseeing the security development and analysis of the system. Participate in a wide range of security issues including requirements tracking, network design, test development, test execution and cross domain solutions.Classification:Contract-to-HireCompensation:
