Developer /Autonomy and Creative Freedom / NW Suburbs

Directly responsible for designs, modification, development, and implementation of programming applications. Requires the gathering of user requirements, creating of specifications and designing of concepts to meet the business objectives of the organization. Leads and directs the technical work of other team members. Consults with internal and external customers to gather business requirements and applies proven web development/project management methodologies to accomplish business goals. Typically consults with vendors and other team members to design, build and manage web sites. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Develop, design, implement, and maintain web sites/applications using various web development technologies. Consults with business owner and works cross departmentally to gather requirements and aligns technical solution with business goals.

Architect and plan database driven web software solutions using industry standard software development methodologies. Manages full-cycle web development process from requirements gathering to implementation.

Analyze web and marketing metrics to identify solutions that will improving conversion, enhance user experience, and drive more traffic to the website resulting in achievement of business goals.

Design, develop, and maintain relational databases used for all web related initiatives.

Design, develop, and maintain dynamic reports that assist marketing leadership in achieving business goals.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering or related field. 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical business leaders and non-technical employees.
Excellent PC skills, attention to detail, ability to write and edit pieces required
Passion to solve hard technical problems
Direct marketing experience a plus
Ability to interact with various departments and facilities, some travel required
Ability to read, review, select and post content on web sites
Demonstrated proficiency in client-side web development technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Understanding relational data structures and technologies such Enterprise Manager, SQL, T-SQL, Data Transformation Services, User Defined Functions, and Stored Procedures to design, develop, and query stored data.
Demonstrated proficiency in client-side web development technologies such as Visual Basic.NET, C#, ASP.NET, Cold Fusion, VBScript, XML, XML Web Services, XSL, and DHTML.
Understanding of software architectures such as Object Oriented, AJAX, and SOA.
Understanding of online analytics and demonstrate proficiency in using web analytics tools such as Omniture Site Catalyst.
Experience with content management system is a plus
Proficiency in Photoshop or other related design tools a plus
Skilled in graphic design, layout and navigation a plus
Experienced in web site architecture development a plus
Good project management skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment and independent of supervision.
