Database Administrator/Analysis Specialist

Our Visual Elk software is designed to provide a single CRM platform that can manage and integrate all points of customer interaction including sales, marketing, customer support applications and the Web. Our main sector is the pharmaceutical industry; however, we also service the consumer goods and manufacturing industries.

Essential Responsibilities:

Our rapidly growing organization has an opening for a results-driven, detailed-oriented Database Administrator. You will be responsible for:

• Fully supporting and implementing database solutions in Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 and 2000 and Oracle 8i.
• Implementing and supporting data analysis services using our proprietary ROLAP analysis tool.
• Analyze Functional Specs provided from the Client Services Department and write Technical Specs.
• Provide supporting documentation including flow charts, pseudo-code outlines and object-task lists.
• Work directly with the Research and Development team to implement and test newly created system files and core software components.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2-4 years experience in database management.
• Complete working knowledge of both Microsoft SQL server and Oracle Server is necessary and expert skills in at least one is required.
• Certification in either Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Server is a plus.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to understand technical specifications and the software life cycle.
• High degree of problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Pharmaceutical experience a plus.
