We are actively seeking a Data Warehouse Specialist.

Responsible for overall data warehouse design (DW) design, balancing optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors. Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of designing and constructing data warehouses, operational data stores, and data marts that enable informational, analytical management inquiry of well-integrated, subject-oriented historical data. Individual must be comfortable with rapid application development (RAD) techniques and with developing requirements and design specifications for new and existing data warehouses. The position focuses primarily on data modeling and database design, with additional responsibility for business analysis, data acquisitions/access analysis and design, DBMS optimization, recovery/load strategy design, and implementation.
REQUIREMENTS
The Data Warehouse Programmer provides technical support and direction in developing and supporting system-level programs, and interfacing with customers on requirements. Participates in all phases of the data warehouse development cycle with minimal direction. Has responsibilities for production support and maintenance of the data warehouse, and works with other team members in optimizing system performance and addressing operational issues. Knowledgeable with the data residing in the data warehouse and can deliver the information from the data warehouse to business customers through technology to meet specific business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent, extensive, related project management experience.
Two years in data warehouse design of logical and physical models; DBA experience with Unix, SQL, Informix, oracle, Sybase, et al… is helpful. Informatica is a must.
One or more years of experience with data warehouse architecture required.
In-depth experience designing/implementing relational database solutions.
Experience in at least one of the following areas is essential:
-data modeling techniques
-data cleansing software
-data replication products & technology
-data access software
-database performance optimization
-mainframe data migration

Additional Requirements:

Informatica is a must as well as;

Languages: SQL, PL/SQL, Perl

O/S: Unix, Linux, Windows

Database: Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g
