Data Warehouse Project Manager
Purpose: Our Fortune 500 client is looking for a Data Warehouse Project Manager.
This position will be responsible for a implementing a broad range of Data Warehouse projects including Data Marts, new business data, process implementation and technology deployments and upgrades. All projects will require hands on data warehouse implementation knowledge, an aggressive leadership style, ability to enable project teams, creative problem solving, and a keen focus on personal accountability.
Responsible for completion of assigned projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
Performs project evaluation and cost benefit analysis.
Must be familiar with systems scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member.
Generally responsible for all work requirements
Assesses performance, rewards results, motivates, and fosters matrix management.
Directs team to complete projects on time, within budget.
Identify, track and communicate issues to resolution
Delegates, integrates activities and resolves conflicts.
Responsible for Quality Assurance review and evaluation and documentation of team procedures.
Works as a technical liaison between the business, reporting and data warehouse teams.
Manage internal support groups and vendors to deliver technology and infrastructure services.
Working closely with assigned clients to assure all business requirements and objectives are identified, documented, singed-off and met during implementation.
Qualifications
Combination of 8 to 10 years direct experience as a technical or business manager or a manager of complex projects.
At least 5 years of direct project leadership for a data warehouse project
Experience data warehousing including data modeling, data analysis, ETL and data QA
Experience with industry standard data warehousing tools including; quality and analysis tools, reporting tools, cubes, SQL etc...
Knowledge of the relationship of data structures as they relate to reporting systems.
Experience developing strong, successful project teams
Advanced project management skills training.
Experience in managing multiple complex projects.
Demonstrated business acumen.
Demonstrates capability to get results in a complex, often ambiguous environment.
Establishes trust and credibility at all levels of the organization.
Effectively manages change.
Healthcare data knowledge (claims, eligibility, provider, benefit, etc.)
