Our client is currently looking for multiple Technical Leads for several new projects involving the development of business data warehouses and data marts for business intelligence.

This is NOT a data warehouse practice, this is the real thing! It is a real world application. Data is valuable, remember?

These leads will spearhead the development of enterprise data warehouses and data marts for the financial services industry, through the full life cycle: from gathering high level business requirements, to the development of technical specifications, leading/coordinating the development and testing work of remote resources, specifying and taking ownership of the testing process and artifacts, and delivering the application.

Development experience must include medium to large team participation where structured methodologies are used, large data volumes are handled, and extensive data access is performed.


Technical experience must include hands-on work with DB2 UDB on Unix (not mainframe!!!), including development of stored procedures and native load utilities. Also required is hands-on work with Unix, Unix shell scripts, and ETL with Informatica PowerCenter. Expertise with data architecture, data flows, data modeling, AND dimensional modeling for data warehouses and data marts with Star and Snowflake schemas is important!

A Bachelor's degree or higher is almost required, preferably in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS
Minimum experience: 8 years in IT, 5 years in enterprise data architecture, 3 years in data warehousing and data marts. Of course, the more, the merrier.

-DB2 UDB on Unix, including development of stored procedures and data loading utilities,
-Oracle, including development of stored procedures and data loading utilities,
-Unix and Unix shell scripting,
-ETL, Informatica Powercenter,
-Data and dimensional modeling with Star and Snowflake Schemas,
-Test Planning and Execution,
-Experience creating technical design specs with flows and architecture diagrams,
-Previous development team lead experience,
-Strong people interface skills.

Desired Skills:
C++, Microstrategy, Erwin, data mapping and migration, database administration work.
