Data Specialist/SAS

This position will be part of the data and analytics team and will assist in the data management for portfolio acquisitions including pre and post transaction data. This will include collecting data from outside partners, ensuring data integrity and creating portfolio summary reports for trader review.



The data specialist must be able to think independently. Most incoming data is unique and requires creative approaches to problem solving in order to translate it into an acceptable format for summarization. The data specialist must be able to accurately execute file translation and summarization tasks within tight time constraints. Policies and guidance will come from both formalized resources and support from other group members.

REQUIREMENTS


Required:Bachelor's Degree Working knowledge of SAS, including writing code and scripting language Advanced training in MIS functions or comparable work experience Advanced knowledge of MS Access and MS Excel Intermediate SQL programming knowledge Solid communication skills for both internal and external parties Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Well-developed organizational skills Attention to detail Strong problem solving skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment where the quick turnaround of quality work is essential High degree of initiative and personal ownership
