Department Description: The Enterprise Architecture team is responsible for common blueprints to enable corporate agility and accelerate innovation through design approaches to deliver maximum flexibility and value and framework to help make better decisions and enable leveraging of current IT investments and existing assets. Responsibilities/Expectations: 1.Assessing current compliance activities, identifying areas of high risk, and evaluating risk factors in coding and documentation practices
2.Developing, implementing, and maintaining a standardized, organization-wide, quality data management (compliance) plan and program to ensure compliance with external regulatory requirements, ensure consistency of quality data for the organization’s internal data needs, and identify, investigate, and prevent violations
3.Developing, implementing, and maintaining standardized, organization-wide policies and procedures to monitor the success of the quality data management plan, review areas of risk, investigate identified issues, report data analyses, and take appropriate steps to correct violations
4.Establishing, implementing, and maintaining a formalized review process for compliance, including a formal review (audit) process
5.Optimizing receipt of high-quality data from data sources by active participation and leadership in quality monitoring and improvement efforts
6.In partnership with appropriate personnel, developing and implementing standardized, organization-wide coding guidelines and documentation requirements and developing and implementing training and educational programs
7.Providing consulting services in the area of data quality management to individuals, special projects, and executive and operational departments throughout the organization
8.Lead virtual cross-functional data quality team consisting of experts representing, businesses, functions, and regions.
9.Collaborate with business & technical teams to ensure the agreed-upon data quality goals are factored into each designated program and project while accelerating business goals.
10.Define data quality components and interfaces based on architectural standards and in the context of Enterprise Architecture.
11.Ensure Data Quality throughout the Enterprise; design, construct and implement programs to ensure the quality and usefulness of all data assets, including data stewardship.
12.Evaluate proposed new technologies for consistency, compliance and integration with data quality governance, standards and policies.^^
Knowledge Skills: 1.Ability to engage, excite, and influence business and technical teams around data architecture in simple business language
2.Ability to work collaboratively across diverse business, functional, and regional groups and architecture teams.
3.Ability to prioritize issues, manage conflicts, and drive projects forward in difficult situations – can operate in ambiguous situations.
4.Minimum 6+ year data quality experience across more than one type of industry and organization.
5.Executive communication skills (both verbal and writing); able to develop and present complex material effectively to a variety of audiences - technical and non-technical, staff, management and leadership.
6.Familiarity and expertise with Data quality techniques and models.
7.Understanding of enterprise technologies, including web technologies, current programming languages, OLTP/OLAP/ROLAP/MOLAP technologies databases, Operational Data Stores (ODS), multi-user and multitasking operating systems, and knowledge management systems.
8.Proficiency with Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Rational Unified Process and/or other Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD) approaches.
9.Proven ability to perform gap analysis between existing data architectures and proposed data architectures as well as track record of success at closing gap.
10.Knowledge of at least one ERP Systems (Oracle and SAP a plus)
