Data Modeler/Report Writer

Purpose: TEKsystems is seeking a Data Modeler/Report Writer for a right-to-hire opportunity in Tallahassee, FL. The essential functions are listed below:

-Acts as an ETL Developer and Report Writer for an Enterprise Data Warehouse Reporting Team.
-Analyzes source system data to understand the data structure, definitions and anomalies
-Interacts with customers as needed to better define and understand reporting requirements
-Interacts with other technical team members to establish reporting and ETL requirements
-Performs regular ETL process and procedure development, as directed
-Performs daily Cognos report writing, as directed
-Ability to program in SQL to perform the data query, reporting and transformation functions
-Estimates time and cost required to accomplish projects
-Documents report and ETL designs in a clear and concise manner
-Supports end-users on the data warehouse reporting tools and solutions delivered to the organization

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
-Knowledge of COGNOS business intelligence products including Vizualizer, Powerplay, Impromptu, Impromptu Web Reports (IWR), CMM, ReportNet and Cognos BI Version 8 or equivalent Business Intelligence tools desired
-Strong SQL skills
-Strong ETL development skills
-Excellent report writing skills
-Relational and Star Schema / Dimensional database modeling and design skills
-An ability to be flexible and work within a team environment.
