In this six-month contract, possibly contract-to-hire position, you will create logical databases and create physical data schema (DDL) using Erwin Data Warehouse on a Teradata platform for reporting and data mining. You will also implement and maintain physical databases on DB2, SQL Server and Teradata, including mapping of data sources. In addition, you will be responsible for gathering business requirements, designing logical models, deriving physical model/DDL as a deliverable to DBA and creating metadata analysis document with source information, code values, business definitions and data mapping for the ETL team.
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and two plus years’ experience in data or systems analysis or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required. Excellent communication, organization SQL skills and working knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts are required, as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients and IT professionals. You must have demonstrated experience in Microsoft tools, including Word and Excel. Two plus years’ experience in performing data analysis for data and business solutions supporting the Financial Services Industry, including retail lending and tracking of collateral, as well as demonstrated experience in using Business Intelligence tools are preferred.
