Do you possess strong leadership skills and experience managing complex technology implementations. In keeping pace with our fast track growth, we are looking for an experienced IT manager to manage our state of the art Computer and Network Operations Center.
REQUIREMENTS
A master’s degree in engineering or an equivalent 7-10 years progressive experience managing computer technology professionals is required. The ideal candidate must posses a working knowledge of multiple operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux) and strong Internet networking experience. Preference will be given to those candidates with facilities maintenance and direct customer support experience. Duties include management of 24/7 technical support staff, sales support, project management, technical leadership, enhancement and adherence to operations processes and policies, vendor management, and tactical planning.Technical Knowledge:
•Server builds
•Linux, Windows, UNIX, Storage
•Systems performance analysis, architectural review, future growth planning
•Ex: upgrade a server /system, how to determine, upgrade plan, upgrade to what level?
•Clustering, What, how, Why (servers, firewalls, etc)
•Load Balancing
•NAS/SAN architectures
•Operating System (OS): Fundamentals of, how does I/O go thru an OS.
•Various RAID technologies
•From an overview to detailed knowledge of the Data Center Facilities and electrical environments, such as the flow of power from incoming commercial power to the end points (equipment), what are UPS, PDU, ATS, Chillers, HVAC, Hot/Cold isles, data center airflow, different tiers and redundancy (2N+1) ratings for Data CentersResponsibilities:
•Management of 24/7 support staff - develop staffing models, recruit staff, provide daily direction and tasking, provide feedback, and develop personnel.
•Maintain operational metrics and develop plans to enhance data center performance.
•Provide and coordinate technical sales support in relation to new sales opportunities.
•Provide day to day technical leadership.
•Task, delegate, and monitor staff accomplishments.
•Ensure compliance with operations processes and policies.
•Advanced knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows and Unix operating systems.
•In-depth knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies.
