Data Analyst - Exploration-Production

Division: Corporate OKCCategory: Information SystemsThe position will provide analytical and reporting support to the groups supported by the BIT Exploration & Production Services group.
Job Description:
Data Analytics - Will provide support to the production and exploration groups in the analysis of large volumes of E&P and land data. Will use reporting and analysis tools on large application source databases and data warehouses/data marts.Data Management - Will ensure the efficient flow and accuracy of production and engineering data through the various systems and data warehouses in support of planning, budgeting and reservoir analysis. Will work with other BIT teams to analyze and optimize the data flow processes. Will work the Database team to recommend changes to the data marts, data warehouse and ETL processes. Will facilitate improvements in the technology for analytics and reporting.Reporting- Will work with users in the development, testing and implementation of new daily, weekly or monthly reports utilizing standard reporting tools.Process Analysis and Re-engineering - Will work with users and other BIT teams in identifying and documenting workflow processes and will recommend technical process improvements.Application Support - Will work with users to identify application and data requirements for engineering, budgeting, planning and portfolio applications and develop processes for extraction and flow of source data to applications and archiving of application data.
REQUIREMENTS
Analytical and reporting experience in a large Oracle and MS SQL Server database environment
Proficiency with PL/SQL and T-SQL
Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, SQL Server
Experience with enterprise reporting and analysis tools such as Brio or Crystal Reports
Strong Analytical skills
Oil and gas exploration and production experience a plus
Experience in process analysis and re-design
Excellent written and oral communication skills
