DICKEY RURAL NETWORKS POSITION DESCRIPTION: Telecommunications Equipment Technician DATE: August 22, 2006 POSITION SUMMARY: IP Technician to work in a Telephone Central Office Environment. This position will require reporting to work at our Ellendale location. Applicant must have extensive knowledge of computers, internet, routers and networking. The ideal candidate would have a CCNA. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include but are not limited to: installation and maintenance of Central Office Computers, Internet and IP network equipment. Installation and maintenance of CO Equipment; Northern Telecom DMS 100 Switch, Calix, NEC, Cisco, Alcatel, AFC, Nortel ATM switch, Paradyne & Alcatel DSLAM’s, and associated equipment, power equipment and batteries. Ellendale is located on US Hwy 281, 36 miles north of Aberdeen, SD, which is a wonderful location for outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. In addition to a state-of-the-art telecommunications company, Ellendale is also the home of the Dickey County Seat, a Christian Bible College, a multi-state fabrication company and two medical clinics.
