DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

As a key member of our team the Senior SQL Server DBA is responsible for maintaining the existing and planned growth in our SQL Server environment. The DBA will join our growing team of associates to support one of the most visible and critical clients to our organization. 1.Bachelors Degree in Computer Technology or equivalent experience
2.5+ years as senior SQL Server DBA in large database, high transaction production environments. With in-depth experience and knowledge of SQL Server 2000 and 2005
3.Specialized experiences in SQL Server; advanced T-SQL queries coding/tuning, coding/debugging of (DTS, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Packages)
4.MS Reporting Services, MS OLAP, and MS Analysis Services are requirements
5.Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and as a member of the production support team. Ability to mentor junior members of the DBA team on all aspects of SQL Server
6.Work with development teams in troubleshooting application and database issues.
7.Involved in the Database Design/Modeling of new applications and database changes to existing applications.
8.Ensure all database environments (Development, Staging, QA and Production) are in sync. Define db scripts versioning system to keep track of database versions for all environments.
9.Expertise in designing and automating backup, archival, data warehouse, and standard database maintenance tasks
10.Significant experience with Windows and SQL Server clustering and mirroring technologies
11.Significant experience with SQL 2000 in a production SAN environment containing high transaction rates, large databases, and very large OLAP cubes.
12.End-to-end, full SDLC (software development life cycle) experience
13.Expertise with implementing SQL 2000 databases into QA and production environments, especially in regards to load/hardware analysis mapping, fault tolerance, and security
14.Expertise with tuning hardware/SQL 2000/Windows for optimal performance
15.Project management skills
16.Excellent problem-solving skills and detail oriented with a self-starting attitude
17.Excellent oral and written communication skills
18.The ability to excel in a highly transitional environment and have strong multi-tasking capability
19.A "whatever it takes" attitude (friendly, humble, positive, confident)Additional Desired Requirements
1.DBA experience supporting DB2 UDB v8.2 in open systems RH Linux v4 environment.
2.DBA experience supporting Oracle v9 and v10g in open systems Linux and HPUX UNIX environments.
