Configuration Manager/Release Engineer

Purpose: Our client is looking for 2 individuals to join there team. One position is a Direct Placement and the other is a long term(1 year+) contract. Both will possess the following skills:

Provide Environment Management support and Configuration Management support to a development team on a public-facing eCommerce product.

Basic functions include:
-build/deployment to test and production environments
-working with development teams to troubleshoot of environments and applications
-respond to possible system problems and outages in a timely manner
-carry a pager/blackberry as part of an on-call rotation
-as needed, modify Ant build scripts
-coordinate weekly releases with development teams
-respond to emergency build/deploy requests
-may be asked to update procedure documents
-work with SCM to understand branch/merge procedures for accessing code labels


Required skills:
-Scripting and automation of builds using Ant 1.6.5
-Scripting experience w/ Python/Jython
-Knowledge of Apache 2.0.54
-BEA Weblogic 8.1, 9.0
-Red Hat Linux 3
-Installshield (versions 11 and 12)
-Basic familiarity with J2EE concepts a plus.
-Familiarity with Clear Case a plus.
-Familiarity with Flash a plus.
-Ability to follow written and oral instructions in a highly dynamic environment
-Good communication skills
