CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT ANALYST III


Equifax is conducting a search for a Application Operations Engineer for the rapidly growing Personal Solutions (Business-to-Consumer) web site. The Application Operations Engineer is accountable for technical leadership of the operations within the post-production quality team. The Application Operations Engineer must quickly drive problem identification, triage, coordination, and resolution for site problems. The Application Operations Engineer must also follow up with root cause analysis and permanent fix recommendations. The qualities of a Application Operations Engineer include superb crisis management abilities, deep and wide technical skills, and outstanding communications ability. The Application Operations Engineer must be adept at creating, installing, managing, and using application health monitoring tools. This employee will be required to take call as needed in a 24 x 7 support environment.



Support post production issue tracking and reporting


Perform proactive analysis of production log errors

Specify requirements and design for application monitors

Execution of Release / Fulfillment Installations

Provide technical oversight of batch application environment

Problem Resolution Process - Provide Level 3 Escalation - for PSOL customer impacting events

Application Duty Pager

Business-Domain Application Debugging



REQUIREMENTS


Application Operations Engineer is responsible for administration, support, and troubleshooting of production issues on web-based and batch systems.
Must be comfortable resolving production issues in a complex technical environment with minimal revenue loss or downtime.


3-5 years of experience performing these activities - Support of complex Software Kit Release deployments, support Content Management and page content release deployments, support multiple Source Code Repository(s), support Quality Assurance Performance testing, support layered product and application tuning and configuration, support layered product version and release management

Experience with Java Server Page (JSP), HTML, and Javascript development

Post-implementation and on-going support for 24 x 7 production environments with formal duty pager roster management

Experience with managing comprehensive application monitoring and support escalation processes with a global Support and Change Management Organization.

Work directly with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Business Operations department heads and designated leads to facilitate rapid problem determination and resolution.

Ability and willingness to provide 24 x 7 production support.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing




TECHNICAL SKILLS

Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) application development

UNIX platform system administration

Websphere or Weblogic application servers

Cisco networking hardware

Oracle database administration

Sun 1 Portal and Content Management (desired)
