Computing End User Assistant

Provides technical assistance and support to end users of delivery systems hardware, software, and network (voice, video, and data) to resolve end-user computing problems. Works directly with end users of computing resources, providing guidance on effective use of delivery systems products and services.Provides interface between cross-functional technologies and users to determine and resolve complex problems.


Requirements:

Education: A bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related degree is desired. Dell hardware certifications are also a plus. Other certifications as well as job experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Specific skills/experience required: Ability to work and team with a variety of job skills such as Managers, Professional Office support, Engineers, and factory personnel. Ability to apply knowledge of high-end, specialized-capability, or personal-productivity-type components located in the immediate user/customer area (e.g., scientific and engineering workstations, personal computers, etc.), including the hardware architecture, software architecture, tools, and interfaces applicable to the specific products and services being provided. Experience with software and hardware analysis tools, applications, and operating systems.Experience with systems analysis and design; networks; technical problem solving and consultation; customer processes, computing systems, and software applications; and networking systems, terminology and equipment. Experience with hardware, software, and network (voice, video and data) applied to help end users make efficient use of computing solutions. TCP/IP, Ethernet, Serial, Parallel, configuration knowledge would be helpful.Applicant is required to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including typical factory conditions. Some lifting heavy equipment may be required.
