ColdFusion Developer

Purpose: TEKsystems has partnered with a large government integrator to identify a mid-level ColdFusion Developer in Silver Spring, MD. This position is a 6 month temp to perm opportunity with TEKsystems.

Job Description:

Candidate will be required to implement web-database applications using Dreamweaver MX to design and build ColdFusion applications with Microsoft SQL Server databases. Candidate will be required to write and execute backend server scripts in Perl. Candidate will work closely with the customer, other web developers, and other contractors at the customer site in Silver Spring, MD. Candidate will be required to work in a formal development environment (CMMI Level 3) and assist with project documentation. The position requires experience in working directly with customers to scope, develop and document requirements in order to develop web sites and applications.

Education: Bachelors Degree is required

Required Skills

Minimum 8 years experience in the IT field required. Of the
8 years, minimum 3 current years in ColdFusion web development is required.
Must have demonstrated, hands-on experience developing mid-level web applications (more than a simple form) using ColdFusion and SQL Server in the VA environment. Candidates with basic CF skills will not be considered.
Must have experience with project documentation and formal environments, such as CMM Level 2 or 3. Must be able to work independently and must have strong interpersonal skills, ranging from assisting a customer with defining requirements to application development and product demonstration/presentation skills. Strong communication and writing skills required. Must be comfortable with preparing and delivering product demonstrations to project and customer teams.

Desired Skills

Experience with SQL Server 2000 and database design, stored procedures, experience with other web programming languages such as PERL and/or Active Server Pages. Minimum 3 years experience with JavaScript, DHTML and CSS. Experience with Section 508 compliance and Fusebox methodology is a plus. Macromedia ColdFusion 5.0 or later certification is a plus.Classification:Contract-to-HireCompensation:
