Clinical Analyst
Halifax Medical Center is seeking the following positions for the
Information Technology Department:
Clinical Analysts for Physician Care Manager Module support
Clinical Analyst for Patient Care System Module support
Clinical Analyst for LSS Module support
The Clinical Analyst will provide consultation to users of health
information systems. This consultation effort includes analyzing user
requirements, planning and designing complex user system interfaces,
testing applications, training users, writing user documentation and
resolving user problems. This individual will have knowledge of Meditech
Clinical Applications (PCS, OE, EMR), Physician Relations/Systems,
Pharmacy, or Provider Order Management (CPOE). This individual will
participate in the overall planning, development, and implementation of
health care informatics programs, products, and services, particularly
addressing the clinical needs of patients and support the practice of the
clinical staff. Additionally, the Clinical Analyst will provide leadership
to analyze specific clinical area assignments, the clinical work flow as to
the patient's plan of care, policies and procedures and coordinate
management of the clinical information systems.Halifax Medical Center, an affiliate of Halifax Community Health

All major medical and surgical services are available and a new inpatient
tower and expanded Emergency Department are under development.
Halifax Medical Center-Atlantic Campus, the former Atlantic Medical
Center, is operated as an affiliate at 400 N. Clyde Morris Blvd., and
Halifax Behavioral Services, the area’s only center for adolescent
psychiatric services, occupies a campus nearby. A satellite hospital,
Halifax Hospital-Port Orange, is under construction, expected to
open in the fall of 2006. This state of the art, 80-bed community hospital
will bring convenient inpatient and emergency care to the southern portion
of Halifax service area, and patients will have full access to all the
physicians and medical specialists available through Halifax Medical
Center. Halifax Medical Center-Ormond Beach is a satellite
campus on State Road 40, just west of I-95, offering outpatient services
for the Kerman Regional Oncology Center, laboratory, and an
Urgent Care Center. A second Urgent Care Center is located in
Port Orange and Halifax Express Care is located on the Halifax
Medical Center Main Campus adjacent to the main Emergency Department.

Graduate of accredited School of Nursing or Allied Health
Services, BA/BS or BSN required.
Nursing Informatics Certification and or CPHIMS preferred.
Requires 3-5 years of experience with a clinical operating system
(Meditech Client Server preferred).
Meditech Clinical Applications (PCS, OE, EMR), Physician
Relations/Systems, Pharmacy, or Provider Order Management (CPOE).
Other Skills to Include: Computer Skills, Customer Service, PCS
Windows, Word Processing Software, Database Management Software,
Intermediate to Advanced NPR, Crystal/Monarch Reporting, Analyze
Trends.
