Position Overview:
RBC Centura is looking for an experienced manager for the Client Server Systems Maintenance and Support team. The incumbent in this position leads and oversees the activities of a team of 7-10 application support specialists to ensure the strategic goals and/or objectives of the Bank’s initiatives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budget.
Responsible for activities related to client server application administration and production support. Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software.Partners across IT and with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs in order to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. In collaboration with other IT managers develop, implement and maintain standard approaches and guidelines for deliverables.
Defines the team's deliverable, their content and quality parameters including any metrics by which these are measured.
Assigns staff to projects optimizing team member exposure to learning and development opportunities while maintaining deliverable quality and potential for re-use
Manages and escalates issues, risks and technology related problems appropriately
Contribute to annual budgeting process and resource planning for areas of responsibility
Continue to maintain and promote project methodologies and tools for improving project quality, change tracking, costs, and timelines.
Ensure quality of the documentation and ease of reuse and processes are repeatable.
Manages all aspects of client server application implementation planning & coordination.
Ensure detailed plans are developed and accurate estimates provided for the design, build, implement and stabilize phases of the project.
Coordinates with team disaster recovery planning
Responsible for maintaining a combination of full time and contract resources to meet the needs of M&A activities, strategic initiatives and other projects leveraging the expertise of the area within plan.
Provide oversight and guidance for technical direction for all development, maintenance and architecture initiatives ensuring adherence to overall IT architectural direction.
Manages detailed design phases for large projects/ programs identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues and ensuring solution meets sponsor needs and PLC deliverables.
Develops measures and monitors ongoing effectiveness of IT services for assigned business line(s)
Develop and maintain strong relationships with the IT architects, IT Project Managers, and existing application teams by participating in meetings and team events
Facilitates complex group meetings (including business partners) for technical design, decision-making, problem solving, implementation and strategic planning.
Provides direction, expertise, feedback, coaching and development to build the capability of direct reports.
Ensure team members are supported with adequate training, consulting and standard tools to excel at delivery.
Continually enhances skills and builds knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems.The position is based out of Rocky Mount, NC.AJB Zip- 27804
