Cleveland JAVA Developer J2EE Programmer Analyst

Essential Functions:

Design Leadership: Work within a team to design systems that are efficient, maintainable, and accurately meet the needs of the company.
Development: Work within a team or individually to develop and unit-test systems using a structured approach. At times, lead a team through the full project lifecycle, including QA and deployment.
Code Reviews: Able to lead code reviews and provide valuable feedback on performance, logic, and maintenance issues.
Requirements Knowledge: Able to become an expert on project requirements, and serve as a source of expertise for the technical team.
Quality Assurance: Work with the quality assurance team to ensure that all steps of the development process are completed in a manner that creates and maintains high quality systems.
Documentation: Produce system documentation to facilitate communication with other members of the technical and business teams.
Deployment: Assist in the deployment of enhancements to production environment.
Project Assignments: Work as a member of a project team to assess team dependencies, estimate work effort, and report status.
Project Status: Provides project managers with project status, identify project risks, and propose alternative solutions.
Production Support: Participate in the resolution of challenging and demanding problems within the production environment. This includes the use of problem-solving skills to identify the source of challenging and complex issues.
Innovation: Contributes to lessons-learned exercises for completed projects. Suggests new technologies and approaches, often demonstrating and championing their use.

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of Java experience over the full project lifecycle is desired.
Minimum of 3 years experience with J2EE.
Excellent problem solving skills are required.
Excellent documentation skills are required.
Experience writing SQL statements is required.
Good knowledge of OO design is required. Hands-on experience applying J2EE design patterns, MVC frameworks, n-tier architectures, etc are required.
Experience with fundamental HTML and JavaScript is required.
3+ years of experience with BEA Weblogic or IBM WebSphere application server.
Must be willing to meet project demands, which includes proactively working additional hours and a flexible schedule as needs demand.
Must have experience estimating the duration of design and development tasks.
Typical background includes a BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field.
Position of a development team lead on at least two web based projects.
Prior experience interacting with peers on a business team, both in-person and in writing.
Expericne in Hibernate a strong plus
Willingness to mentor.
