Pharmacy Technician responsibilities include handling consumer phone calls and provider/carrier faxed authorizations, in addition to working closely with Pharmacists.
REQUIREMENTS
•Three to five years prior authorization experience in a managed care environment preferred.
•Must be certified and have current Arizona license.
•Associate’s degree required.
•Must understand techniques and methods of working side by side with the pharmacist.
•Knowledge of medical terminology required.
•Must be familiar with customer service aspects of working in a pharmacy.
