COMPUTERSUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Provides second level support of desktop systems and productivity tools for staff, faculty and students, consulting, problem determination and resolution, system installation and configuration, application support, and needs analysis to support the use of technology by faculty, staff and students. Provides back-up to infrastructure team members as it relates to implementation, maintenance, and support of local and wide area data communications and telecommunications services to support the use of technology by faculty, staff and students, with emphasis on backing up voice services. Requires an Associate's degree in related field or equivalent experience in computer related business. Two years' of experience in a telephone support environment or PC support environment (one year of experience should be in a networked environment), A+, CNA, or CNE or other certifications are preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to communicate with various levels of users to understand the problem and a positive, professional image are a must.
