Position Summary:
Within the Quality Management organization, the Configuration Management Leader directly supports the Organizational CM effort and performs CM activities associated with configuration identification; change control; release management, status accounting, and reviews and audits. The CM Leader participates in CM planning, policy implementation and CM Plan development at the Organizational and Program level.
The CM leader oversees Process Asset Library (PAL) setup and control for all developmental and product components; participates in identification and marking of baseline product components; produces status accounting metrics and other metrics regarding effectiveness of the IntelliDyne CM process; participates in source code, document, and other CI control tool evaluations and implementation. Reports on CM activities and maintains status accounting records; conducts process audits; works with project and QA management to identify and resolve quality issues; supports the established Change Control process, develops and conducts CM training, participates in process improvement initiatives, and supports Configuration Control Boards (CCB).
The CM Leader develops, coordinates, maintains and enforces CM plans, processes and procedures to ensure artifacts are identifiable and maintainable; schedules, conducts and documents CM activities such as CCB; coordinates maintenance of project asset inventory including licenses and warranties.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops CM plan templates, policies and operating instructions associated with the identification, release, and control of IntelliDyne products including documents, SW/HW, customer deliverables, etc.
Serves as a leader of the Enterprise Process Asset Library establishing and enforcing document development, storage and archival policies and procedures.
Ensures conformance of delivered hardware and software CIs to Program CM Plans and procedures and contractual requirements associated with the CM process. Works closely with the QA Audit function to ensure compliance with established policies and processes.
Ensures conformance of delivered data items to the requirements of the Statement of Work, Contract Data Requirements, and Data Schedule.
Education, Training & Qualifications:
· Bachelors with specific professional development related to CM as demonstrated by certification, professional development, etc.
· Minimum 8 years with 5 in a direct CM Policy and process development and deployment.
· Experience in the implementation of a defined methodology for QA and CM, such as ISO, CMM, or CMMI.
· Metrics development and analysis supporting all facets of a comprehensive CM process.
· Ability to manage a distributed group of CM personnel
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to multitask and interface with off-site functions
