Business Systems Analyst (140121-514)

Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst II (BSA) will serve as a consultant to the business units in planning and coordinating systems analysis, design and implementation projects to automate processing or improve current business application systems. The BSA II works closely with both Development staff and the User Community to establish and manage Project, Business Process, and Test Plans. In addition, the BSA II is responsible for creating functional and technical specifications/requirements documentation (business v/s system requirements, flow diagrams, and variables definitions).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs a liaison role between specified user areas to assist in the identification of process improvements, system design, testing and implementation of large and/or complex technical projects, often requiring coordination of multiple functional areas.
Interacts with project teams, application teams, Architects, Users, Marketing Reps, and various levels of management.
Analyzes and defines user requirements and translate them into system requirements.
Establishes and facilitates communication and consensus-building across the company to ensure business and user requirements are met.
Coordinates specification and design walk-throughs or ongoing technical meetings.
Coordinates set-up/participate in testing and post-production verification.

REQUIREMENTS
QUALAIFICATIONS
Able to accept and manage changing priorities and address issues quickly and professionally
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
SQL knowledge
Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Visio; MS Access and MS Project are plusses
Good understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL-Server, etc.) and how they work
Credit Card industry experience is preferred
Total Systems and/or FDC/FDR experience is a plusEDUCATION AND TRAINING
BS or BA degree in a related field required, unless there is significant, relevant work experience
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) years Business Systems Analyst experience
