Business Programmer Analyst (.NET expert)

Are you a .NET expert? Then this may the opportunity for you! In this role, you will formulate/define system scope and objectives; devise and modify procedures to solve complex problems; prepare detail specifications for programming. You will be responsible for all project development phases including: design, code, test, and document programs; acts independently under general direction. Primary programming language will be VB.NET, and VB6. In addition, some knowledge about the Mainframe environment and Cobol development will be a definite plus.
REQUIREMENTS


To qualify, you will need a Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of programming experience, including a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in the programming field to be able to complete complex assignments.



Technical Requirements:

Visual Basic.NET, ASP, NET,VB6, XML (Cobol, JCL, EZtrieve, EZtrieve/DB2 a plus)

Database experience in Oracle & DB2 including SQL, Stored procedures, embedded SQL and database design.

Web service development

Development environment: Visual Studio for Web based applications and mainframe

Platform: Unix/Linux, Windows, and Mainframe (MVS) with TSO

Object Oriented Methodology, web development and client/server programming

Experience in insurance processing is a plus
