Support the Consumer Lending data warehouse initiatives. Gather and coordinate data requirements between business areas, validate sources of data, develop data mapping routines, document existing legacy data sources. Perform necessary data research and programming. Develop data audits to ensure quality. Assist the team in building SAS data marts and eventual DB2 data warehouse to support Consumer Lending analytics. Conduct research projects related to business needs and/or data quality.

job Requirements



Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Math, Statistics or equivalent education and work experience

At least 2 years industry experience including participation in data warehouse projects

One year of SAS programming experience, preferably within a financial services environment

Two years of IBM mainframe experience including COBOL (both coding new programs and working with legacy code), JCL (including job set up and analysis)

One years SQL experience (involving queries in a reporting environment)

Knowledge of business rules definition and meta-data management also required. Unix experience is a plus HSBC Compensation
