Black Box/Grey Box Tester

Purpose: LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY FOR A : Black Box/ Grey Box Tester with some SQL skills. primary responsibilities will include execution of black-box testing scripts against a digital music subscription and download client application and Front-end testing of A
thick-client based media player application, and a mobile phone based media player application.

Creating and following documented test plans and reporting software bugs in defect tracking system, and working with a team of software testers and developers to assess usability, functionality and stability. Manual testing of UI is the primary responsibility. As such, more emphasis on being able to execute manual test plans, and determine test plans and test cases from functional and technical requirements documents.

Will not need to author any automation tools.

Manager will expect this person to step in and take ownership and work independently and not need any hand holding, so they must have strong QA methodology and process.

2 MONTH CONTRACT Starting pay at $28+ /hr Depending on skills and experience.


Technical skills essential for this assignment: Black Box testing experience, Solid SQA is a must have and must have some SQL experience to validate data in the DB. DRM, Media player, or other streeming experience is
nice to have.

Pluses: any scripting or coding ability such as JAVA, Perl, SQL, PL/SQL, TSQL, UNIX is a nice to have.
