Asst. Tech. Fac.System Admin.

Assist system administrators in installing, maintaining, and operating approximately 200 workstations in a NISPOM compliant environment. This includes SUN SOLARIS, SGI IRIX, LINUX and WINDOWS platform. Assist system administrators in installing, maintaining, and operating network services including file servers, RAID systems, printers, web servers, and remote backups. Maintain and operate an electronic audio/video system including its switch, displays and controllers.
REQUIREMENTS
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience in computer system and network administration. Must have a thorough understanding of computer/networking hardware to include video cards, network attached storage devices, RAID systems, network printers, SCSI interfaces, and CISCO network switches. Experience with WIN2003 server and XP operating systems is needed. Must have experience with installing commercial, third party or government software applications in a network environment. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.

Desired:
Associates degree in IT/IS related field. Experience with configuring computing systems in accordance with government security requirements. Familiarity with projection and display systems.
