Position: Sr. Web Developer

Location: DOWNTOWN ATLANTA 730 Peachtree Street

Type: Perm or contract to perm

Perm Salary: 57-62K

Contract to perm: 3 Months

Responsibilities:

Create HTML and graphic elements for ChoicePoint products, Web sites and applications based on UI and technical guidelines
* Envision and build robust interfaces using HTML, CSS, JSP, and JavaScript
* Determine graphics optimization approach to produce low-bandwidth images for web publishing
* Create click-through prototypes for user-testing sessions
* Communicate technical aspects of design to clients and partners as needed
* Troubleshoot HTML problems, understand browser issues, and work with QA team to make sure that Web experiences are consistent for all end users.
* Review the work of fellow coders
* Advocate for the end user
* Meet with Information Architects and Project Managers before and during development to comply with user interface specifications and development needs
* Unit test and vouch for quality of all deliverables
* Work with other creative and development team members to meet production deadlines.
* Use ChoicePoint tools (CVS and Jira) to establish a project structure and fix defects/build enhancements
* Contribute to team brainstorming sessions when developing new applications, Portals and sites
* Take initiative to find answers, establishing a support network of Web, print, and peer resources
* Share independent research on Web development best practices, new approaches, and software/technology/creative methods.

Skills:

3-4 years HTML developing

2 years CSS

1-2 years JSP

Must be able to develop on multi-platforms, well versed in coding and troubleshooting HTML and CSS, and highly skilled in Adobe Photoshop and Allaire HomeSite (or other HTML editor). Solid JavaScript skills are essential; a strong candidate will also have experience with AJAX and JSP. Graphic Design skills are highly valued. Experience with Flash MX also a plus.
