Category: TechnicalSalary: $55,000.00Travel: NoneJob Description:Join a leading global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the research, development and commercialization of innovative pharmaceutical and biotechnology products in the fields of central nervous system disorders, allergy/respiratory diseases, immune and inflammatory disorders and oncology. Associate Director of Customer Contracts -Permanent position located in Smyrna, GA § Direct all customer contract functions in Pharma including negotiations with customers, processing of rebates, administrative fees and chargebacks, Medicaid billings, and all activities necessary to ensure compliance with customer contract requirements and regulatory requirements. § Chair Price Policy Committee: lead team meetings and presentations to define and implement discount and pricing strategies in conjunction with Sales Marketing, Managed Markets, Finance and Operations. § Provide expert counsel for regulation/legal issues including HIPAA functions for Sales and Marketing and Finance departments, OIG Compliance Program implementation and additional changes in existing regulations. § Effectively manage Customer Contracts team and processes necessary for efficient performance of departmental responsibilities. Major Accountabilities: Work with the Controller, President, and VP Managed Markets to ensure contract strategies are in place to achieve the annual budgeted profit and sales targets of the organization. Write, modify, update and execute contract policies, terms and conditions, modifications with all customer types to maximize ROI and profitability in synch with Finance and Legal. Install/maintain and apply reliable and efficient internal controls and business ethics policies to assure full compliance with all pertinent federal, state, and local regulations by analyzing concepts and applying concepts to conform and guide business rules. Direct accurate, complete and correct financial rebate utilization data and reporting for all commercial and government customers through managing efficient, consistent internal systems and processes, and external vendors. Interpret and report on contract rebate, discount and utilization records for achievement of performance goals, adherence to agreement parameters, ROI and growth in line with sales and financial goals. Provide comprehensive guidance, understanding and interpretation of industry regulations and guidelines as they relate to federal and state programs for government and commercial contracting for Pharmaceutical products Execute pricing policies/guidelines and strategies for Pharma across all product lines and customer types. Apply new concepts in industry and government contracting and reporting requirements to the company business and contracting procedures by continual research, maintaining external and internal contacts, and participation in relevant training and continuing education programs. Effectively direct Customer Contracts in concert with Controller through employee development, applying accountability for results vs. objectives and ongoing coaching, training, and feedback. Maintain ongoing knowledge and database of Medicaid program drug coverage on a state-by-state basis to maximize drug coverage and access of company products in the Medicaid program overall. Other duties as may be assigned by the President, the company, and Controller. § Create and direct an Industry Issues Forum with regular meetings, newsletters, speakers, etc. for senior management of Pharma. Experience (List the type and length of experience) Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical experience preferably in Contracts, Finance or Legal. Masters Degree or CPA preferred. Specific skills Experience and understanding of customer contracts in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory requirements, sales and marketing requirements and financial impact of contract terms and conditions. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly translate and effectively communicate issues that affect business opportunities, problems, efficiency and compliance with all contracting requirements. Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply business principles in the decision making process. Must be able to work with a wide variety of people in an effective manner. Proven ability to effectively manage a team. Strong systems and process orientation. Strong organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to effectively prioritize. Proven ability to manage customer relationships and negotiate contracts and contract language.
