Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The Applications Programmer will analyze, design, code, test, debug, and implement new and enhancement projects for multiple application areas. In this role you will act as a consultant to business owners, develop and maintain source code, develop and maintain project schedules as well as communicate status updates. You may be required to lead subordinates.Additional responsibilities will include the conversion of client/server, multi-tier, internet, e-commerce, financial or other types of project specifications required by the business into computer programs using computer programming techniques and computer languages Java, J2EE, XML, XSL, C, C++, Scheme and Prolog. You will prepare or receive (from Systems Analyst) detailed specifications to illustrate sequence of steps that program must follow and describe input, output, and logical operations involved, analyze specifications applying knowledge of computer capabilities, and/or Object Oriented Analysis and Design technologies like Design Patterns. Additionally, you will interact with and provide support to the business groups on issues related to the development of new functionality, or the production maintenance of products, interact with different groups within IT to meet database, network, operating systems, financial and security standards, analyze, review and rewrite programs to increase operating efficiency/performance or to adapt program to new requirements, and compile and write documentation for program development and subsequent revisions. You may also train workers to use, write, test, and modify programs and work with Systems Analyst to obtain and analyze project specifications and flow charts.The value we place on our talented team of associates is reflected in the outstanding total compensation package we offer. Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of five (5) years systems software engineering experience.
Fundamental knowledge of programming languages.
Experience in a complex, large company environment.
Strong verbal and written skills.
