Application Support Specialist
Purpose: A large client in the telecom industry is looking for Information technology professional experienced in software testing, development, environmental support, non-production and production support related to Amdocs applications (NMS is a plus).
This position will fill a test support role and at times will assist with the analysis, development, testing and production support roles within the Number Management team. The candidate will also be part of a non-production support team and will take part in supporting/troubleshooting the system and enterprise testing issues. Also involved will be building/reconfiguring development and test environments and creating implementation plans and tickets for code migration.
Skills:
Strong UNIX experience
Extensive Oracle RDMS experience
Working knowledge of Weblogic, MQ Series and Tuxedo middleware
Strong C and Java development experience
Strong knowledge of Korn Shell, Perl and SQL scripting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Leadership and facilitation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
This is a 6 month contract.
