Analytics Manager
The cutting edge field of human capital analytics applies engineering and statistical analyses to better understand and quantify relationships and factors that affect workforce behavior. By applying mathematical and statistical principles, such as stochastic modeling and probabilistic operational research, towards gaining analytical understanding about HSBC’s workforce, the ultimate objective of the group is to build predictive human capital models that will optimize quality of hire, cost to hire and training response matrix while minimizing attrition. This work will require rigorous statistical and engineering analyses to inform, shape and support a broad range of activities and initiatives targeted at improving the bottom line. The analyst will interface with senior executive management across North America on a regular basis. Quantitative results and conclusions will be translated to a relevant business context and communicated through oral and written presentations on a frequent basis.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Mining large data sets to identify significant relationship among workforce behaviors and descriptive characteristics.Developing and executing controlled tests to determine the impact of new programs, strategy changes and procedural changesDeveloping workforce segmentation models and building predictive models to support national and international strategic implementationsProcess Re-Engineering existing processes to optimize ROI metricsDeveloping sophisticated predictive simulation models for Talent Acquisition, Training Response and other critical workforce metrics

job Requirements
Requirements:
A bachelor or masters degree in engineering, statistics, mathematics or other analytical discipline with 3-5 plus years of related work experience
Proficient in manipulating large data sets and performing sophisticated statistical analysis with SAS in a mainframe and PC environment and conduct: logistics regression, experimental design, CHAID, CART
A complete understanding of Base SAS, certification preferred. Proficient in importing/exporting data sets, combining data sets, able to identify and correct SAS programming logic errors.
A thorough understanding of probabilistic and discreet operation research, stochastic modeling, Markov chain and other simulation techniques using ProModel or Arena
Proficient with standard office productivity tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word
