Performs user access administration and maintenance activities, including the setup of user accounts and update of user access rights, to support SOX compliance and IT controls objectives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assigns roles and adds accounts for new associates, maps users to appropriate application roles, and updates role assignments for transferred / promoted / terminated associates

Creates, maintains, and disables user access within various technologies and systems, including but not limited to: Database Management (SQL), Email (Exchange), Finance, Human Resources, Loan Origination and Windows 2000/XP (Active Directory)

Updates records of system access in the user information repository

Responds to telephone calls, emails, tickets and faxes regarding requests for user access

Possesses knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the fields of IT, audit, controls and security

Identifies, reports and resolves user access issues or violations

Responds to internal and external audit, security and general controls review findings of various technologies and processes

Resolves issues directly with users to ensure a high level of customer service and proper granting of access in an accurate and timely manner

Provides on-call operational support to users

Manages the creation and maintenance of user access of various applications and systems in an effort to centralize user access administration and to eliminate segregation of duty concerns

Researches, documents, and implements processes and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure an appropriate level of access control

Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all team members and departments

Designs and performs testing in order to identify system vulnerabilities and to prevent inappropriate and unauthorized use of systems

Participates in new initiatives that align with the business and support the overall IT vision and strategy
