Account Executive

Builds and cultivates a trusting, long-term and productive working relationship with the company’s largest and most valuable commercial and industrial customers. Primarily responsible for direct contact with assigned customers to address and resolve customer issues. Ensures that customers experience positive issue resolutions. Account Executives will promote demand response and energy efficiency programs to major customers. Account Executive will educate customers on regulatory, legislative and rate changes. Account Executives will pursue specific technical, rate or economic development initiatives. Satisfactory job performance will depend on successfully achieving targeted business results on the timetables established. Maintains an effective presence in trade organizations related to assigned customers to monitor market/industry changes. Account Executives are responsible for delivering results in a multi-tasking environment. Must maintain a level of contact and care with all customers while focusing his/her most intensive efforts on those accounts with the most immediate challenges and most promising opportunities. REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience required. Must have a working knowledge of technical energy issues. Should have an extensive understanding of SDG&E’s rate structure, billing system and operational procedures. Must have a complete understanding of current regulatory and legislative developments. Must be effective at communicating in all media (written, phone, e-mail) and responding on a timely basis to all communications without interrupting on-going activities or meetings. Must be effective at time management, establishing priorities and working effectively in a variety of work environments. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as a background in financial concepts and business analysis.
