Job Description:
Inventory Systems Programmer Analyst responsible for the design and development of various data marts that are integrated with the MDSS data warehouse. Design, develop, and support software components using Walgreens' ETL, Data Modeling, Query Tools and OO languages. Deliver user requirements documents and follow application development process. May work individually, as a member of or leader of project development teams

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Analysis, design and development of batch processes. These processes will work independently or may integrate with other applications. Drive data analysis process and help solve complex business process issues. Develops and maintains systems and programs to include system and program design; program coding; test plan design and implementation to verify accuracy of programs and the interdependent relationship of programs and systems; system and program analysis for satisfying user needs, maintainability and efficiency. Leads walkthroughs and post implementation reviews.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 4 or more years of experience. Must have strong ETL development background and object oriented analysis and design experience. Atleast 1 to 2 years of Abinitio experience is required. Strong experience in Perl, Shell scripting, C++, SQL, PL/SQL and other programming languages and be able to optimize and tune complex queries. Oracle 9.2 design, data model maintenance and data loading experience is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) are required. Ability to work nights and weekends when necessary due to project deadlines and support issues is required. Knowledge of AS400, WebMethods, BI tools like Business Objects and Project Management is a plus.
