2 Unix Administrator positions, Solaris, Linux

6 month contract to hire situation



Seeking a versatile and experienced Unix System Administrator (SAGE III/IV) to serve on a small team managing centralized IT services for a 5,000+ user community. The team has direct responsibility for design, installation, and maintenance, daily operation, tuning, and troubleshooting heterogeneous systems in a complex network environment.
REQUIREMENTS


Experience Requirements:
Candidates should have a Bachelor of Science degree with at least 5-10 years of experience. Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of Unix-based operating systems including Linux and Solaris, LDAP, Apache, building and supporting open source software in a collaborative environment, source code management, and have the ability to program in shell, Perl, and C. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Sun Java Enterprise Directory Server.
Desirable skills include OpenAFS, Kerberos, VMware, CVS, Subversion, Veritas NetBackup, F5 BigIP, Sendmail, and Milter applications. Ability to work within a team and strong communication skills are essential.
