Responsible for all activities relating to Workers’ Compensation administration, which include managing claims against the facility, interfacing with the insurance company, administering the workers’ compensation program on a day-to-day basis, managing and analyzing workers’ compensation data, identifying employee work safety issues, conducting educational programs and managing OSHA reporting and complying with OSHA regulations, all within the objective of controlling and minimizing loss of the facility assets and promotion of employee safety. This position is responsible for developing processes and relationships to support a successful worker’s compensation program both in benefiting employees and remaining fiscally responsible.
REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: 1. A Bachelor’s Degree and three years of relevant experience, or training with a minimum of five years of previous workers’ compensation administration experience required. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) required. 2. Thorough knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation Act of Illinois and OSHA regulations required. 3. A high level of communication skills is required to lead, teach, and persuade others and/or interact effectively with others in difficult situations, and to provide advice and counsel in situations involving judgment. 4. A high level of analytical ability is required to collect, analyzed and interpret data to solve problems requiring a professional level of knowledge in a specific discipline and/or design relatively complex administrative systems or programs. 5. Assignments are received in the form of broad goals or areas of responsibility.
